Now and then, an elevator may unexpectedly stop due to a mechanical failure.

If you are in an elevator when this occurs, please follow these steps:

• Remain calm.
  
• Use the "Emergency" telephone located in every car to communicate with the elevator emergency call center. Give them the building address, Atrium at Rock Spring Park, your name and report the elevator malfunction. They will notify the building management and the elevator company who will help release you from the car.
  
• You can maintain voice contact with the emergency call center until the malfunction is corrected and you are released. There is a three-minute time limit, but you can push the button repeatedly to be reconnected.
  
• While being temporarily trapped in an elevator may not be pleasant, remember that the elevators are designated with safety systems that ensure your physical safety. Therefore, please remain calm and await assistance.
